Eye Care Services

Quality Eyecare offers a variety of services for our patients. Learn about them below.

Eye Exams

Regular eye exams are essential for the long-term maintenance of your vision.

At Quality Eyecare, we’re dedicated to providing comprehensive, effective eye examinations. We do more than
simply finding the perfect prescription: these visits allow us to detect problems before they permanently damage your vision. Along with standard checks for nearsightedness and farsightedness, we also look at your depth perception, peripheral vision, and susceptibility to cataracts or glaucoma. We'll discuss the daily habits that can influence your vision, empowering you to take control of your ocular health.

Contact Lens Examination

Wearing contact lenses requires additional checkups to make sure you’re using the right prescription.

In addition to a regular eye exam which checks for vision impairment and ocular health, a contact lens exam will assess your vision with contacts in place. Your doctor needs to assess what type of contact is best for your eyes. They’ll also check to see that your eyes are healthy enough to wear them daily without issue. Contact lens examinations
are different than a regular eye exam, so be sure to get your checkup today.

Contact Lens Fittings

A contact lens exam and fitting ensures that we've found the right match for your eyes.

Unlike glasses, contact lenses are sensitive tools that are placed
directly on a very sensitive portion of your eye. With that in mind, your optometrist will assess the overall health and function of your eyes. Several factors, including tear production and cornea health, will affect
whether or not you qualify to be fitted with contact lenses. Some factors may rule you out of using contacts altogether, but your optometrist will discuss available options based upon your unique circumstances.

Pediatric Eye Exams

Pediatric eye exams are vital for your child’s development and well-being. Many children learn by viewing the world, which makes viewing the world properly essential to giving them a good start in life.

Everything from looking at a chalkboard to safely crossing a street is influenced by how well your child sees. Quality Eyecare will test their visual acuity to ensure they have a prescription if they need one, of course, but we’re also examining your child’s eyes to see if they’re developing properly. This includes everything from making sure the eyes focus properly to testing their muscle strength.

Dry Eye

The moisture in your eyes is responsible for more than you might realize.

Tears contain a mixture of water, oils, mucus, and antibodies that all
serve to keep your eyes lubricated and healthy. If you begin to experience dry eyes, it’s an indicator that something is wrong with glands in your eyes. This can happen for a variety of reasons including aging, various diseases, certain medications, or physical ailments that prevent your eyes from fully closing. Any of these instances can cause your eyes to become red, itchy, and sensitive. If you’re not producing the right amount of tears, dry eyes are probably the culprit.
